The Artist

Jabari Raaziq is a Lexington-based, mixed media artist, born in Atlanta, GA. While attending the University of Kentucky on an athletic scholarship,he suffered a foot injury that shifted his path and led him to discover his true purpose, art. His work explores themes of healing, resilience, and transformation through vibrant colors, expressive figures, and symbolic elements such as arithmancy puzzles and geometric forms. Drawing from personal experience, Jabari transforms life’s challenges into visual narratives that invite reflection, encourage healing, and inspire others to pursue their true calling.

Create from the heart

One stormy night, I fell into a deep sleep. My intuition came to me, whispering lullabies into my ear. Influenced by its gentle voice, I woke up and decided to follow it.

It led me through the wilderness until we reached a deep blue body of water. My intuition leaned close and whispered softly, "Look into the water and tell me what you see."

As I gazed into the deep blue water, I saw my inner child happily drawing and coloring. The illusion gave me a strong sense of peace, then a quiet stillness settled over the water. Mesmerized, I leaned closer, the image became clearer, more vivid, until I lost my balance and fell into the water and woke up from my deep sleep.
